Kimberly "Kim" Wynne, President

Kim has been SWE Boston's Section Representative for the past 2 years. She was also our Communications Chair, overseeing our social media, phone, website. In 2016, Region F awarded the Boston section the Outstanding Communications Award. Kim is excited to help build an engaged SWE community that promotes diversity and inclusion in FY19. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at Florida State University. She currently works as a software engineer at Cognizant. In her free time, Kim likes to read, write, draw, watch TV, and exercise.
The President has the responsibilities of general supervision, direction, and control of the business affairs of the Section, and takes an active role in SWE Boston committees, programs, and activities. She organizes bi-monthly EC meetings and presides over all EC and general membership meetings.

Amy Baker, 1st Vice President, Professional Development

Amy has been an active member of SWE Boston since 2013. She has a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University and a MS in Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. She currently works for The MITRE Corporation, a not-for-profit organization that operates research and development centers sponsored by the federal government, where she specializes in cooperative aircraft identification systems. Over the past couple of years, she has volunteered at SWE Boston’s booth at the FIRST Robotics Competition and coordinated multiple professional development meetings at MITRE. Amy is passionate about empowering women to succeed and is looking forward to working even more closely with SWE Boston members in her new role as SWE Boston’s Vice President for Professional Development for FY18

Elizabeth "Ellie" Sanford, 2nd Vice President
Ellie Sanford is the Outreach VP of SWE Boston. She has been active with SWE Boston for the past 3 years, being involved in Outreach and Membership activities as well as attending many Professional Development events. Ellie works as a Manufacturing Engineer for Syneron Candela, an aesthetic medical device laser company in Wayland. She's part of the Board of Directors and a Volunteer Project Manager for a local nonprofit called People Making a Difference, which pairs volunteers with local organizations for meaningful one-day projects. When she's not making lasers or volunteering, Ellie loves cooking without recipes, reading memoirs and aspiring to write her own, watching every Oscar-nominated film and being a beer snob. Ellie is eager to support all the existing outreach partner relationships and events this year, as well as reach out to the community and introduce new events that will help local kids become excited about STEM!

Tanvi Devimane, 3rd Vice President, Membership

Tanvi Devimane has been a member of the SWE Boston Executive Council for the past 5 years. She was the Recording Secretary last year and was a Section Representative and Treasurer prior to that. She holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and MS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. In the past she has worked at Boston Engineering as a Lead Software Engineer and as a Research Engineer at Raytheon BBN Technologies. She was also the Email Coordinator for SWE Boston from 2005 - 2009. While in college, she was the Treasurer for the University of Massachusetts, Amherst SWE Section from 1998 - 2000. As the VP of Membership for FY19, Tanvi's goals include -
1. Continue to retain SWE Boston members through meaningful activities such as periodic membership events, networking brunches, etc.
2. Continue providing conference awards to enable SWE Boston members to attend various SWE conferences.
3. Introduce 1 new membership event
In her free time, Tanvi loves to travel around the world with her husband and kids. She is committed to assist the SWE Boston team in continuing to make it a successful section.

Chhavi Gupta, Treasurer

Chhavi Gupta is a motivated, personable IT professional currently working with EMC Corporation. She has earned a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. She graduated from Syracuse University with a MS degree in Information Management. She has earned a Bachelors of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from Kurukshetra University in India. Chhavi's areas of focus and expertise include Information Management, mainframes development, database management, project management, system design, end user reporting and risk management. She has worked in a variety of industries like Banking, Insurance,Commercial Information solutions and Data Storage.
The Treasurer keeps a full and complete record of the Section's financial accounts, manages all funds of the Section, and prepares the annual financial report as required by the Society.

Kristine Murphy, Recording Secretary

Kristine Murphy is a Systems Engineer at Raytheon in Woburn, MA. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, and is on track to complete her Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University this fall. She became an active member with SWE Boston after returning from an overseas work assignment in 2014. She has helped to coordinate, lead and participate in many fun SWE Boston Outreach events, including the Mini-Maker Faire with Barnes and Noble, FIRST Robotics, and the Cambridge Science Festival to name a few. Kristine is passionate about community outreach and sharing the many opportunities in math, science, and engineering with people of all ages. She looks forward to the opportunity to expand her passion as the 2nd Vice President of Outreach.

Victoria "Tori" Ward, Corresponding Secretary
Tori Ward has been active with SWE Boston since moving to the Boston Area during the summer of 2015. She has co-organized the FIRST Robotics booth in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and served as the Eventbrite Coordinator starting in Fall 2016. She has also volunteered at outreach activities, including Cambridge Science Festival and the Barnes and Noble Mini Maker Faire.
Tori works as an Environmental Engineer for GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a multidisciplinary consulting firm in Norwood. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Environmental Science, concentrating in Hydrology, and a minor in French before earning an MS from Cornell University in Water Resources Systems Engineering. Her hobbies include figure skating and art.
The Corresponding Secretary conducts Section correspondence with the general membership and the public.
