SWE Boston’s structure consists of an Executive Council and many Committees, which work together to plan the many programs we offer throughout the year and to tend to general SWE Boston business.

Anita Gajjala, President
Anita Gajjala is a technical consultant at MathWorks in Natick, MA, and holds degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and Georgia Tech. She has been an active member of SWE Boston since joining the local chapter in 2012. Anita is excited for the opportunity to serve as the President, work with SWE Boston members, and get more girls interested in math, science, and engineering.
The President has the responsibilities of general supervision, direction, and control of the business affairs of the Section, and takes an active role in SWE Boston committees, programs, and activities. She organizes bi-monthly EC meetings and presides over all EC and general membership meetings.

Nicole Woon is an active SWE leader and Life Member. In addition to her role as SWE Boston's Vice President of Professional Development, she engages in several region and society committees including the WE Local Conference Advisory Board, Collegiate Leadership Institute Planning Committee, and Region F Conference Planning Committee. Nicole works as a Support Engineer at Microsoft and helps enterprise customers solve their toughest technical issues related to SharePoint. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with three degrees: M.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics, B.S.E. in Bioengineering, and B.S.E. in Management (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) as part of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology.

Kristine Murphy, 2nd Vice President
Kristine Murphy is a Systems Engineer at Raytheon in Woburn, MA. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, and is on track to complete her Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University this fall. She became an active member with SWE Boston after returning from an overseas work assignment in 2014. She has helped to coordinate, lead and participate in many fun SWE Boston Outreach events, including the Mini-Maker Faire with Barnes and Noble, FIRST Robotics, and the Cambridge Science Festival to name a few. Kristine is passionate about community outreach and sharing the many opportunities in math, science, and engineering with people of all ages. She looks forward to the opportunity to expand her passion as the 2nd Vice President of Outreach.
The Second Vice President, as head of the K-12 Outreach Committee, oversees programs that inform women, their families, guidance counselors, and the public in general, of the qualifications and achievements of women engineers and the opportunities open to them. These programs include mentoring, science fairs, merit certificates, Girl Scouts, and the Speaker’s Bureau.

Emily Anderson is the Environmental, Health & Safety Leader at GE Healthcare in Westborough, MA. She has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Tufts University. Emily is excited for the opportunity to serve as the VP of Membership, to help SWE Boston members connect, network, and promote SWE. Emily is also the FY17 Membership Committee chair-elect for SWE. Emily enjoys yoga, baking, and craft projects.
The Vice President of Membership handles all tasks and sponsors programs associated with the goals of member recruitment, retention, and services. These activities include membership administration, and preparing packets for new and potential members.

Sneha is a consultant in the Health Industries Practice at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She has her Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Masters in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester, Masters in Biotechnology Management from Harvard University and MBA from Boston University. Sneha has been involved with SWE for over 6 years first with her collegiate section and then further at SWE-NESS and now the Boston section. Having served as the VP of Membership for the last two years, Sneha is now the section Treasurer as well as the collegiate counselor for the MIT collegiate section of SWE.
The Treasurer keeps a full and complete record of the Section's financial accounts, manages all funds of the Section, and prepares the annual financial report as required by the Society.

The Corresponding Secretary conducts Section correspondence with the general membership and the public.

Section Representatives
The Section Representatives represent the Boston Section at all Council of Representatives and Regional Council meetings and votes for the Section on all Regional and Society ballots. They are the liaison between the Section membership, the Region, and the national organization.

Tanvi Devimane, Section Representative
Tanvi holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from University of Massacusetts, Amherst and MS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.Tanvi is passionate about encouraging young girls to become Engineers. Over the years she has represented Raytheon BBN Technologies at various outreach events organized by UMass, Amherst and other local Colleges. Tanvi enjoys traveling the world with her husband and son.

Chhavi Gupta is a motivated, personable IT professional currently working with EMC Corporation. She has earned a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. She graduated from Syracuse University with a MS degree in Information Management. She has earned a Bachelors of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from Kurukshetra University in India. Chhavi's areas of focus and expertise include Information Management, mainframes development, database management, project management, system design, end user reporting and risk management. She has worked in a variety of industries like Banking, Insurance,Commercial Information solutions and Data Storage.
