Mentor for a Day 2019

SWE Boston members Tiff Hua and Ellie Sanford visited The Clubhouse Network in Boston and met some of the teen members as well as mentors and staff, then played with the many toys and tools they had! Tiff made a 3D printed coaster and Ellie made a 3D printed box made using a 3D printing pen (pink box in the photo above)!
Come explore The Flagship Clubhouse, meet members, and get creative with the engineers of tomorrow! Use tools for graphic design (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator), 3D modeling (Autodesk123D Design, TinkerCad, Sculptris, and SketchUp), website building/programming (Wix, Axure, and Scratch), video game design (RPG Maker), and more (markers, paints, prints, a vinyl cutter, a pottery wheel, and a heat press).
For 25 years, the Clubhouse's drop-in format has allowed teens the flexibility to pursue their own work in a way that matches their schedules, and they support those pursuits with the help of volunteer mentors---adults with creativity and resilience, who look like our members’ future best selves. Volunteers are encouraged to join us for the entire time span, but can drop in and out as their schedules allow.
