STEM Conference and Expo
SWE Boston once again facilitated a workshop at the annual Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEM) STEM Conference in Framingham. We taught the middle schoolers about polarity, circuits and how engineering can intersect with fashion! We also hosted a table at the Expo in the afternoon, and ours was one of the most popular with a crowd the entire time. The girls made light-up felt wearable items such as pins, hair clips and cat ears!
Sunday March 24, 2019, Framingham State University: Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts STEM Conference and Expo
- We'll be facilitating a workshop to teach middle school aged Girl Scouts about circuits so they can make their own light-up wearable items such as bracelets and hair clips. The workshop time is still TBD but will be 2-3 hours between 10am and 3pm. Lunch will be provided for workshop volunteers.
- We will also have a table set up in the Expo (3-5pm) where girls can stop by to make a quick and easy light-up wearable item.
