Cambridge Science Festival 2019
SWE Boston participated in the Science Carnival & Robot Zoo, as part of the Cambridge Science Festival. Fifteen volunteers staffed the SWE Boston table and helped kids assemble squeezy torches and bristle bots for them to take home. Over 200 kids and several parents visited the booth during the four-hour event!
Share your love of STEM and represent Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Boston at the Cambridge Science Festival! We will have a table set up in the huge Science Carnival event, where we show kids how to make their own "squeezey torches". These are very simple flashlight-type assemblies that teach kids about basic circuits and are fun and easy to put together! No specific engineering knowledge required - we will train you before the fair begins.
